Hard shoulder is practically unusable

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4622422.

For about 3-4 miles this section southbound the hard shoulder is practically unusable, looks like a farm track with debris and stones all over it. This whole section of road looks like its breaking down, especially at the joins, and even where the white lines are painted, the white line is now a trench, almost like when they painted it on they burned the tarmac underneath!

  • Thank you for your enquiry. Our inspector as advised that the area is safe, it is not a running lane and is usable. No action is required at this time, but will continue to monitor.

  • I appreciate it not a live lane, but trucks do veer into it and flick up all the debris... then what about the rest of the road in this area where the potholes are being created by the white lines?
