Traffic light - no delay

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 09:54, Fri 2 June 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4622359.

When coming from lodge lane, the lights used to change at the same time as the next set and remain on for a little while to allow the flow of traffic onto the M6. This has changed and they don't allow any time for additional traffic and go red straight away. Letting three cars through or one lorry and becoming dangerous for anyone who has gone through the lights to the queue as incoming traffic then changes straight away and they start moving forward. This is backing up lodge lane.

Updates

  • They traffic lights from lodge lane are out of sequence and turn green the same time as the on coming traffic ,extremely dangerous if you don’t know the Island and it’s traffic light sequence ,I drive through every morning and has happened twice this week , I think this is a major fault
