Damaged boundary & acoustic fence

Reported via desktop in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category anonymously at 13:05, Thu 1 June 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4619281.

Post and rail boundary fence and adjacent acoustic fence are broken allowing pedestrian access from Kenley Drive onto the motorway and need repairing. Previous National highway response to reports of this incident have been that NH are not responsible for the maintenance of this asset. Rochdale BC have checked their records and have no details of them being responsible for its maintenance. A site inspection shows that the acoustic fence is regularly repaired and maintained and must be owned by National Highways as its is part of the motorway network.
