Thank you for your report of an SOS sign facing the wrong way in this location.
The reason the SOS sign is facing the wrong way is that the layby containing the SOS phone was closed at the start of the A1B2CH major project back in June 2021, therefore the phone is not accessible. The contractor turned the sign away from the traffic motorists so they wouldn’t see it. We’ve asked the contractor to either remove the plate completely or bag it off so it can’t be seen from either direction.
