Three large areas of asphalt eroded

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4574106.

I reported this issue 17/04/23.

Nothing has been done despite the report being closed.

There are at least three large areas of road eroded. Quite deep. It’s a dangerous situation. I’ve just driven round it on the slip road to avoid damage.

  • I was on my motorbike today 21st May 2023 and nearly came off because of the double pot holes that are deep and wide going on to the slip road at 60mph

  • Thank you for informing our Customer Contact Centre about the potholes / road surface condition on the slip road of the A1 (M) at junction 8. I appreciate you taking the time to report this. I’ve passed your observations to our maintenance team who will promptly investigate your report. Potholes can be hazardous and we have processes in place to ensure they are made safe quickly. We carry out frequent safety patrols to monitor the condition of the road. Any potholes or defects we find are recorded. Repairs are then prioritised based on the severity of the defect.
