Pothole between lanes 2 & 3 around 2 miles before J2 southbound exit

• The tyre with the bulge was in fact the rear nearside. We got off the motorway and the AA helped with putting the spare wheel on to front nearside and followed us to our hotel to ensure we had not further problem with the bulging rear tyre which could have also gone flat. We managed to find a nearby tyre company that could get the two tyres needed for the following morning. While fitting them they confirmed that the rear wheel had a dent which may need further treatment but that the tyre had gone on ok. We will of course need to have the wheel tracking checked and adjusted if need. This was a very bad pothole. My car is a Jaguar XJL with large tyres front and rear. Had this been a smaller car it could have been very dangerous.
