Your roadworks on A404 are causing chaos in our village

Reported via mobile in the Roadworks (NH) category anonymously at 17:40, Tue 16 May 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4562438.

One lane is closed on A404 northbound between the Bisham roundabout and the Marlow turnoff. This is causing chaos through the village of Bisham. Stationary traffic both ways morning and evening. This is exacerbated by traffic lights in Bisham on the Bisham road. How long is this situation to go on? There is no information on your website!

  • Why is there no joined up thinking regarding these road works? Surely they should not be taking place at the same time thereby leading to worse congestion? To make matters worse there has been no sign of any work taking place at the Bisham Road set of roadworks for at least three days.

  • I am also frustrated by a lack of information regarding the works causing this lane closure, which has been causing traffic carnage for over a week now. Often causing traffic to be backed up to Burchetts Green! Some reports on the Bucks Free Press state they were going to be there until 6am on 20th May but as of 23rd May they are still there and no helpful signs on the road, or information on here even acknowledging the lane is closed, let alone a timeframe.

  • This is still causing traffic chaos. When will this work be finished?
