Drain cover sinking

Reported via Android in the Road surface (NH) category by Simon Reynolds at 16:43, Tue 16 May 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4562185.

From the birch coppice traffic lights travelling towards Dordon on the inside lane. The drain in the middle of the carriageway seems to be sinking and causing traffic to swerve.

Updates

  • Nothing done. And probably won't be done unless somebody gets killed.

    Still open, via questionnaire

  • Traffic Lights not working

  • Drain cover is extremely deep now. Possible damage to vehicles.

  • Sunken drain was fixed for a short time but again it's sunk and so the problem is still there. Swerving cars to avoid it at last minute is quite dangerous.
