2 floodlights and height limit sign not working on bridge

Reported via mobile in the Street lighting (NH) category anonymously at 09:16, Mon 15 May 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4554609.

The lights cover a footpath, which is obscured by A27 bridge and is now unlit, and pitch black at night for people walking back from town/station, along B2148. The lights are suspended under your bridge, so initially I reported them to Hampshire CC and got the following response; "Thank you for your enquiry regarding the two faulty lights beneath the A27 Bridge on New Brighton Road, Havant. I have checked our systems however these two streetlights are non-maintained units. These lights are maintained by National Highways, please contact Highways directly to report this fault."

Please inspect and repair , inc height sign.

  • I note other people have complained and have been given a different answer to my original query. I have your response above and a mail from Hampshire CC t o say its your responsibility. With the onset of winter this is now a safety issue as the underpass is unlit, and its dangerous. Please resolve between yourselves and HCC.
