Variable speed signs still active

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4544628.

Variable speed put in place 36 hours ago due to accident two days ago. Accident cleared and barriers repaired ovee 48 hours ago but lowerrd speed limit still in place

  • Thank you for your report concerning the variable speed limits on the A14 at Orwell bridge. You rightly state that an accident occurred at this location and a temporary repair has been made to the safety fencing that was damaged. Unfortunately the replacement permanent safety fencing has needed to been ordered from the manufacturer as it is bespoke to the bridge itself. The fencing will be installed as soon as it is delivered. Until then, for safety reasons the speed limits will remain in place.
