Extremely dangerous junction tythby road a52

Reported via mobile in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 08:30, Mon 8 May 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4527144.

Road is too fast for junctions. You are expecting people to join a 60 mph road from 0 mph. There's no slip roads to gain the speed, theres no wide road to let cars go around joining vehicles. The middle of the road for cars going the opposite way causes havoc. It gets blocked regularly so no one can see either direction, which means cars have to guess / hope they drive out at the right time. There was a fatality at this junction just yesterday, this needs fixing. You need to slow down the stretch of road there or re do the entire junction and actually make it safe for drivers. It's a terrifying stretch of road that is actively avoided by a large group of people who live in Bingham, as we have all witnessed near misses, crashes and now unfortunately we are all greiving a fatality.
