Gantry sign has a red line in it when you drive past it

When travelling past this sign in Lane 4 when travelling southbound on the M3 after sunset, you see a red line in this gantry sign as you travel to the side of it. Sometimes drivers mistake it for a red X due to the colour. Please could this be investigated.
