Series of collapsing manhole covers.

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4524756.

A27 eastbound, Selmeston towards Drusilla's Roundabout. On the nearside travelling east, on the nearside wheel line for vehicles is a series, at least 5 or 6 manhole covers. These are all gradually collapsing and starting to become hazardous.

Updates

  • Thank you for your report concerning the manhole covers.

    Inspection shows that these are covers owned by BT, and our safety inspector advises that they currently present no safety issues. We will continue to monitor during our regular safety inspections when any deterioration will be reported to BT for aadressing.
