Massive potholes in nearside lane

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4524291.

There are numerous deep potholes in nearside lane northbound between J7 and J8. Extremely dangerous especially during dark hours. I`ve nearly lost a wheel driving 70 mph. No warning signs either. Please, address urgently before someone has a serious accident.

I’ve passed your observations to our maintenance team who are endeavouring to find a permanent solution for the pothole issues in this area.

    Potholes can be hazardous and we have processes in place to ensure they are made safe quickly. We carry out frequent safety patrols to monitor the condition of the road. Any potholes or defects we find are recorded. Repairs are then prioritised based on the severity of the defect.
