M27 approaching hedge end eastbound camera flash - sign showed a reduction to 60mph, but I was below the previous speed and got flashed, Is this in error?

  • Thank you for your report concerning speed limits. The Highways Agency Digital Enforcement and Compliance System (HADECS3X) enforces the speed limit and lane closures displayed on associated ‘red ring’ signals at the time across multiple lanes. If the signals are not displaying a speed limit, then HADECS3X enforces the National Speed Limit. Penalty notices will only be issued to individual vehicles breaking the speed limit or passing under a Red X and are lane and vehicle specific. There are built-in safe¬guards which pre¬vent the cam¬era from acti¬vat¬ing if there is a crit¬i¬cal fault.
