Unsatisfactory No Entry sign

Reported via desktop in the Sign issue (NH) category anonymously at 13:48, Sat 22 April 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4473594.

This was installed as a temporary sign while waiting for a replacement sign after the original was damaged. It is badly positioned between the carriageways and local people have seen vehicles starting up the slip road, then stopping and reversing when drivers see the sign and assume it applies to both carriageways.

  • We now have one broken stump of the original sign, and three temporary ones, as well as a temporary one which has blown down hurtmore road under the A3. I’ve reported the one which is lying on the verge to you and to SCC but neither will pick it up. Why can this not be put right?
