Junction Obstruction and Street lights fused A47/B1140

A47 /B1140 junction- obstruction

Please could you contact National Highways on our behalf as regular road users of this junction.

1. Road Maintenance have positioned a works sign at this notorious junction blocking visibility from the Norwich direction.

2. National Highways team were expected to repair the overhead lighting column outages at the northbound junction to the B1140 South Walsham Road. To date work is still outstanding.

  • 1. Thank you for reporting the road sign that is obscuring the junction on the A47. I have passed this report on to the Route Inspector for further investigation.

    2. Also thank you for contacting National Highways about the streetlights not working around Acle on the A47. The lamps in the area are being upgraded to have light emitting diode (LED) bulbs instead of the current incandescent bulbs which are obsolete. LEDs are more energy efficient and last longer so this will rectify the outages here. This work is being planned to be done sometime within the next 3 months. Kind regards National Highways
