The saplings growing dangerously close to lane 3 are slightly further away than first believed. They are on the North Bound carriageway within 100 yards of the motorway sign indicating 3 miles to Bishops Stortford/ Stansted Airport junction

  • Thank you for the update to our Customer Contact Centre about the overgrown vegetation on the M11 northbound in lane 3 prior to junction 8. I appreciate you taking the time to report this. We carry out regular inspections of our roads and cut back trees and vegetation where we find that it’s limiting visibility of road signs, traffic signals, at junctions or the view ahead. I’ve passed your observations to our maintenance team. They will inspect the area and if necessary, arrange for vegetation to be cut. Thank you again for contacting us.
