Manhole collapsing

Previously reported (In Jan with 3 month timeframe) manhole cover is getting worse in Lane 1 of the eastbound off ramp at J3. Significant drop in manhole cover creating hazard.

  • Thank you for your report 18 April 2023 concerning a significant drop in the manhole cover in lane 1 of the eastbound off ramp at J3 of the M18. We’re sorry for the delay and appreciate you taking the time to contact us about this.

    We’re aware of the dropped manhole cover but unfortunately the repair has not been as straight forward as we first thought. We believe this has been resolved now and the repair is being planned. There will be a slight delay whilst we arrange for the road to be closed for us to carry out the work.
