Numerous Large potholes in all lanes of main carriageway - road surface breaking up. Very dangerous to motorcyclists

  • Thank you for informing our Customer Contact Centre about the potholes on the A1M at Junction 6 Welwyn. I appreciate you taking the time to report this. I’ve passed your observations to our maintenance team who will promptly investigate your report. Potholes can be hazardous and we have processes in place to ensure they are made safe quickly. We carry out frequent safety patrols to monitor the condition of the road. Any potholes or defects we find are recorded. Repairs are then prioritised based on the severity of the defect.
