Entry slip road from A6068 onto M65 East bound has had the inside lane coned off for 5 months and not a scrap of work has been done in this time. It causes chaos at rush hour in particular. What is "supposedly" the issue? Also as this section is coned off is it not prudent to take the opportunity to remove all the litter/debris? Or is it a case of wait for the vegation to grow back so it is all hidden away until next winter. The whole area is a disgrace and highly embarrassing.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways,

We have carried out repairs on the bridge parapet. It was necessary to remove the safety barrier and install temporary barrier. We expect the concrete to be cured in 2 weeks, at which point the closure will be removed.

We have inspected and litter graded the eastbound entry slip and no further work is required at this time.

If we can help with anything else you can also contact us via our 24hr contact centre on:
