Spalling and falling concrete on A38 under bridge

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4446008.

Concrete is spalling on under bridge and falling - could damage cars on road below or injure walkers/horse riders

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways concerning the bridge.

    A Principal inspection which included a hammer tap survey of the soffit was recently completed in March 2023. As part of this inspection, areas of loose concrete were removed and the remaining areas deemed to be sound at the time of the inspection.

    We'll get an engineer out just to confirm there is no change in the last few weeks.
