Potholes, disintegrating road surface. A1M motorway.

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4444449.

Serious issue with Road surface disintegrating between lanes 1 and 2 at South Mimms as you come off the slip road. The issue extends all the way to the next junction and is dangerously bad in parts. Similar issue southbound also. Poor patch repairs have been done previously and are of a very poor quality.

  • Sunday 30th April 2023 approx 12:30pm. Going southbound at the A1 / M25 junction area there is a very bad and big pothole in between the 2 lanes and when moving from the right hand lane back into the left hand lane it caused damage to my left hand front tyre.

  • Reported 1 month ago. Disintegrating motorway road surface and potholes on the A1M motorway at J1 both north and southbound getting worse all the time. Ironically, white lines been repainted 2 weeks ago with paint dripping into the potholes!!
