Deep gouge in middle of roundabout when turning Lewes toward Brighton. Dangerous deep rut for motorcycles, the width of a bike tyre, so needs urgent repair/resurfacing.

  • Thank you for your report concerning the condition of the carriageway.

    We’re aware of this and are currently designing a resurfacing scheme 'A27 Southerham to Beddingham' with construction planned for later this financial year. In the meantime we continue to monitor any deterioration during our safety inspections when any safety defects will be raised for repair.
