Complete and dangerous degradation of surface

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4433077.

There is a complete degradation of the antiskid road surface, especially on the nearside lane towards the A26 . There are many potholes and this now constitutes a significant hazard to motorcycle users in particular. This has degraded over the last couple of months.

  • Thank you for your report concerning the carriageway condition.

    We’re aware of this and are currently designing a resurfacing scheme 'A27 Southerham to Beddingham' to address this, with planned construction later this financial year.

    In the meantime, we continue to monitor through our weekly inspections along the A27.
