Updates

  • Thank you for your report concerning the speed cameras on the M27.

We've investigated your query and can advise that at this time all electronic signage and speed cameras in the area are working as expected, no faults recorded. The cameras do work across multiple lanes, so it is possible that road users may believe they are being flashed when the cameras were triggered by a different vehicle nearby. Our cameras do record speeding vehicles or vehicles violating red X restrictions, and this footage is then reviewed by Police to ensure that a violation has taken place, so only proven violations will be subject to prosecution.
