Heavy surface water

Reported via desktop in the Flooding/drainage (NH) category anonymously at 18:56, Wed 12 April 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4431424.

The M66 between jct 2 & 1 has a lot of surface water due to drains being blocked and debris along the hard shoulder. As the surface water cannot drain away this is resulting in a stream of water down the hard shoulder with water flowing into the carriage way in sections. Advices course of action would be to unblock the drains on the raise from Jct 2 to the bridge in the direction of Ramsbottom and to sweep the road to remove washed down debris.
