Traffic lights taking long time to change from Hawkhurst onto A21, very long queues back to Hawkhurst village

  • Thank you for your report, this was sent to our maintenance team to look into. On arrival the lights seem to be working as they should be with no traffic waiting. However it is possible the lights were remotely reset.

  • The lights at Flimwell seem to be allowing the cars crossing from Ticehurst to Hawkhurst priority rather than the main A21. This morning only 6 cars managed to cross the A21 direction to Scotney while over 20 went across from Ticehurst. This is causing major tailbacks on the A21 in both directions. Yesterday I queued all the way from Scotney roundabout to the lights. Please check this issue.
