A49 street lighting

Reported via desktop in the Street lighting (NH) category anonymously at 11:03, Sat 8 April 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4411566.

Although this has been mentioned times before I write again because it is unacceptable it has taken 3 years (and counting) yet still to no avail that repairs on these lights on the Greyfriars bridge have still not been complete despite numerous reports, "promises" of fixing them soon. It is not a pleasant sight the single primary river crossing gateway nor the fact it has taken 3+ years without even any firmed clarity to a timescale of being fixed. When will this be "actually" done please? Thank you

Updates

  • Any update on when this will be fixed and why it has taken so long to be fixed. As has the state of some of the lighting further up Victoria street, tatty, cracked/decayed bulb covers, some lights out, others daylight burning, light posts severely tatty, flakey unpainted in years, looks horrible being the predominant north/south gateway of Hereford should be given some priority with presentation and care.

Unacceptable it has taken years for this so I would appreciate having this looked into and dealt with.

    Thank you
