Wall has been hit repeatedly by lorries and cars

Reported via mobile in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category anonymously at 07:13, Fri 7 April 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4408384.

There are 3 courses of brick missing. Lorries regularly mount the curb which has removed some of the curb stones. Further, cars regularly hit the wall and are lifted over the wall due to the ramp it has now become. This has had an impact on the property wall behind. The brickwork needs reinstating immediately and backfilled as it once did to ensure vehicles cannot mount the wall and hit the home behind.

  • Please can you let us know when the wall will be fixed? This has been reported to you on a number of occasions with no response or repairs undertaken. The home owner behind the wall is obviously very stressed that this barrier is not repaired as it is the only barrier between her and motor vehicles crashing into her. Please contact Wyboston, Chawston & Colesden Parish Council with an update as soon as possible.
