M42 Roadworks JUNCTION 3 ONWARDS NORTHBOUND

Hi, just thought I’d let you know the road works between junction 3-4 on the M42 seem to be causing an awful lot of confusion about what lanes people can drive in, I myself nearly did this too, I have witnessed so many drivers doing the same thing. As the lanes are now down to two it appears everyone is now driving in the hard shoulder to make it 3 lanes although, the hard shoulder still has the hard shoulder line indicating you can’t drive in it. I think this needs to be signed it’s down to two lanes before this causes and accident as everyone seems to be driving in it all day he way down to get off at junction 4. Subsequently, now the m42 is down to 50mph for the vast majority from junction 3 north, you’ve got overhead signs stating you can drive at 60-70mph and then the road work signs stating 50mph in the same spots this is also causing confusion when there is average speed cameras. It just thought I’d send a little message to let you know as I drive this route regularly and there’s a lot of confusion through the road works I think needs looking at.
