Blocked drain outside - driveway entry, green front door. Poor widened path construction

Reported via desktop in the Flooding/drainage (NH) category anonymously at 11:08, Mon 3 April 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4392057.

We understand that his matter has been raised previously. The pavement has been widened by filling in the curb to create a bus stop lay-by uphill beyond our private driveway. The new extended pathway is now a valley shape and water passes over the dropped curb section of our driveway and floods the path past the residential properties of Hampton House. The Hampton Lodge resident has needed to sandbag the upper side of the driveway to redirect the flooding in as their property was being inundated with surface water from the roadside. Hampton House, Hampton Cottage and the adjoining garages bordering the footpath have all developed significant damp problems over the last 18 months. There is grave concern that the Grade II Listed historic Hampton House (c1809) and associated buildings could be structurally undermined as a result of the apparent lack of drainage management. We would be pleased if the drains and the path construction could be addressed as a matter of urgency. Kind regards Paul Stephenson, Director Hampton House (Estate Management) Limited
