Slip road from south bound A12 surface becoming dangerous

Reported via mobile in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 08:06, Mon 3 April 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4383815.

This has been reported and is getting much worse. It is almost impossible to drive in the right hand lane approaching the roundabout due to the number of potholes that has made the surface unsafe without slowing right down. This needs sorting out.

  • Thank you for informing our Customer Contact Centre about the potholes / road surface condition on the A12 at Sandon. I appreciate you taking the time to report this. I’ve passed your observations to our maintenance team who are endeavouring to find a permanent solution for the pothole issues in this area. Potholes can be hazardous and we have processes in place to ensure they are made safe quickly. We carry out frequent safety patrols to monitor the condition of the road. Any potholes or defects we find are recorded. Repairs are then prioritised based on the severity of the defect. Kind regards National Highways
