Road surface almost no existent through this junction southbound The road surface us breaking up across all three lanes, chunks of tarmac everywhere waiting to break windscreens and damage tyres.

  • Thank you for your email of 31 March 2023 to our Customer Contact Centre about the potholes/road deterioration on the A1M at Junction 6. I appreciate you taking the time to report this. I’ve passed your observations to our maintenance team who are endeavouring to find a permanent solution for the pothole issues in this area. Potholes can be hazardous and we have processes in place to ensure they are made safe quickly. We carry out frequent safety patrols to monitor the condition of the road. Any potholes or defects we find are recorded. Repairs are then prioritised based on the severity of the defect.
