Missing National Speed Limit sign heading to Datchet

Reported via desktop in the Sign issue (NH) category anonymously at 11:17, Fri 31 March 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4380894.

Heading from Ditton Road to Datchet via Riding Court Road there is a change of sign missing. The road is a National Speed Limit road (as confirmed by a NSL sign heading in the opposite direction) but there is no NSL in this direction. This makes this road dangerous as the last speed sign seen is a 30mph but locals probably knnow it's NSL and so may overtake dangerously. It is also a road used by the local driving test centre so it prejudices candidates on their driving test.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways regarding speed limit signs. We do not manage this road, I think the mapping has picked up the M4 - this is managed by us.

National Highways manage motorways and certain ‘A’ road trunks roads in England, all other roads are the responsibility local authorities. Contact details for local authorities can be found by using the search facility at: www.gov.uk/find-your-local-council.

    Kind regards,

    National Highways
