Potholes joining M25

Reported via mobile in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 22:26, Wed 29 March 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4374793.

As you come off M23 in right hand lane, and meet M25 there are several large potholes along white line edge of M25. Previously reported but realise position not quite right and got Road numbers muddled

  • Potholes have been here for weeks despite repoorting them. One is very deep and constantly I go down it, I am sure it is damaging my car

  • On Friday 7th April 2023 at about 13:26 I was joining the M25 from the M23. I was in the righthand lane of the slip road. As I merged with the inside lane I was aware of several long deep potholes between lanes 1 and 2. I managed to avoid most of them, however, having to move from lane 1 to lane 2 I suddenly found myself confronted with another large pothole. Unable to avoid this pothole, due to traffic conditions, I was instantly faced with a tyre deflation and had to take to the hard shoulder. This tyre deflation was as a direct result of hitting this pothole.

  • These are still there, and deep enough that they’re a dangerous. Highways Agency are at risk of killing someone here. Anyone changing lanes here on a motorbike will almost certainly come off.

  • This long pothole is still there, unfixed. Months after reported above. Fix this before someone is hurt.

  • These potholes (multiple potholes, several inches deep and several meters long at lane boundaries at a busy junction between two motorways) continue to be a genuine danger to motorcyclists and car drivers alike. They were reported at least two months ago, on the countries main motorway. It's unbelievable that there has still been no effort to even emergency patch them.
