Incomprehendible graffiti daubed all over the flyover support structure

Reported via mobile in the Graffiti (NH) category anonymously at 16:37, Wed 29 March 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4373637.

New graffiti has been sprayed all over the underside of the National Highways flyover structure. It is hideous, utterly incomprehendible, and encourages more. Please put security cameras as the underpass is becoming distopic and feels dangerous. I saw it being erected with my Dad almost 60 years ago and have NEVER seen it looking SO BAD as it does now. What is going on?

  • Thank you for your report concerning graffiti and safety in the M3 J13 underpass.

As it's difficult and costly to consistently remove graffiti on our network, we address offensive graffiti as a matter of high importance but non-offensive graffiti will be dealt with during routine maintenance passes, and in the meantime the area will be monitored for further issues.

Regarding the installation of CCTV or other safety measures, we advise that you raise this issue with the Police, as they may be more able to help with ensuring safety in the area.
