A628 Tintwistle to Crowden gutter debris causing flooding and drainage issues

Reported via desktop in the Flooding/drainage (NH) category anonymously at 13:41, Tue 28 March 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4368540.

The A628 between Tintwistle and Crowden is an absolute disgrace! debris in the gutters are blocking grids leading to surface water and slow drainage during wet weather causing dangerous driving conditions with spray and skid risks. The retaining walls are all damaged and the whole stretch of this road is like a warzone. I have never seen this road in such a terrible condition.

  • When I last drove from 9 Holes Bridge to Tintwistle a couple of weeks ago I counted over 60 places where the walls had either been demolished by impact or had fallen down. The condition of this road is appalling and surely the amount of collisions indicate that.
