Thank you for your report concerning a deceased dog on the M60. We'll do our utmost to retrieve the animal. We realise how distressing it is when a pet is lost and possibly killed on one of our roads. Uncontrolled animals or escaped pets also pose real safety risks to drivers and any animal on the road network may result in a traffic collision involving potential casualties. When we find domestic pets on our network we check for a microchip and do our utmost to notify the owner. If a microchip isn’t found, we always check for some form of identification containing contact details. If we find your dog, we’ll do all we can to let you know.
