  • I hit a pothole here on 24 March 2023. It was a deep pothole the base of a catseye on the edge of it. two nearside tyres were ripped and the front alloy wheel cracked. Caused me to veer momentarily . Fortunately I could park up in a nearby layby (a no parking except in emergency one). This is a major accident waiting to happen and needs immediate attention.

  • Last night (29th March) I hit this same hole and it's damaged my tyre and wheel on a sports car, possibly causing 32k of damage. Not happy to see that it's been reported more than a week ago (if not 2 weeks ago) and only got worse

  • Sorry, error on my previous message, damage value should of read £2k possible damage. Reported to Highways England 11.30am 30th March

  • I took similar photos on 25 March, the day after I hit the pothole. Clearly the same as Mr Colman's and clearly long standing. The issue is that one of the potholes has the metal frame of a cats eye sticking out into it and creating a sharp solid edge.

  • I have the misery of driving on this section of road and the size of the pothole is growing every day. I watched a cars tire burst yesterday as it drove over it, and watching unfortunate motorists swerving into the 2nd & 3rd lane on this stretch of road to avoid it at the last minute. Please fix the damaged road asap.

  • My husband, who is in his seventies, fell victim to this pothole today. He was taking our 2 year old Granddaughter home in an hour long trip back from Grantham to Hatton. THERE WERE 3 OTHER DRIVERS IN HE SAME LAYBY WHO HAD HAD THEIR CARS DAMAGED BY THE SAME DANGEROUS ROAD .

THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A MUCH WORSE ACCIDENT.!!

Serious tyre issue and distressed infant , along with a totally disrupted evening. Why do we pay road tax again? If anyone fancies a sit in protest on this section, I'll be happy to join in and bring tea!
