Excessive Roadworks junction of A585 and B5270

There is excessive disruption to traffic caused by the roadworks at Skippool on the A585. This has been going on for over two years now.

This morning, I had a job interview at 1000. I set off from my home in Stalmine at 0915 for a journey that should normally take me twenty minutes. This morning, it took me an hour. Suffice to say, I missed out on a potential job because of this.

I have lived in other countries such as France and Germany where, when roadworks do happen, there is minimal disruption to traffic and they are completed within six months to a year. These roadworks have been going on for nearly THREE YEARS now, holding the people of Over Wyre, Thornton-Cleveleys and Poulton le Fylde to ransom.

This is an absolute disgrace, caused by the incompetence of the contractors doing the roads and the decision to build new roads in the area when there was no need.
