Large, growing pothole in centre of lane.

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4338646.

Reported back in January but still not been fixed. If a cyclist were to hit this pot hole they would DIE. This is a main route into the Southwest and traffic will be building soon due to Easter. The carriage way on both sides is developing potholes.

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways concerning pothole. We are planning a repair in April. Our inspectors are monitoring regularly and if it worsens then they will arrange an emergency repair, however it has not worsened in recent weeks.

    We carry out frequent safety patrols to monitor the condition of the road. Any potholes or defects we find are recorded. Repairs are then prioritised based on the severity of the defect. We know that a damaged road surface can, on occasion, be potentially dangerous and we’ve processes in place to ensure any hazardous defects are repaired quickly.
