Excessive delays following the introduction of traffic lights

The roadworks at Skippool roundabout have recently changed to include traffic light controls. These traffic lights significantly impair the flow of traffic to the effect of extending normal journey times by 40 mins. This indicates that the road traffic system here has been incorrectly designed as it is a significant delay to traffic creating excessive queues of traffic at all sides of the roundabout.
