Filter lanes needed

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4333060.

The new traffic lights don’t work, causing absolute gridlock, due to traffic not being able to access filter lanes to turn left/right until we get to the junction. This is particularly the case on the approach from Hambleton/mains lane, amounderness way and breck road. It is not acceptable that this is “working as they should”. Perhaps try a commute or school run, or trying to get to a family member that needs help, before saying this is “expected delays”. How can people be expected to allow an extra 90 minutes for a five mile journey?
