Traffic light phasing causing unnecessary delay.

Traffic light phase letting traffic from M404 onto M4 junction 8/9 roundabout causing unnecessary delays. Only 3/4 cars a time can get through before going red and if a truck only just get’s going when lights go red.

  • Thank you for your report concerning traffic light issues at the A404/M4 junction.

    We apologise for the issues you've experienced in this area. We were initially unable to access the area due to a rodent infestation, however we were able to determine a fault with the BT line at this site and a BT Openreach engineer attended the site yesterday (20 March 2023). We will be visiting the site with BT tomorrow to arrange a repair.
