Bridge expansion joint

Whilst driving on the A1M heading home, we drove over an expansion joint that has blown a rear tyre on our car. Photos of the blowout can be provided. It has cost us £180 to fix the issue.

    When the breakdown truck came to replace our tyre they found that in fact we had a large hole in the wheel rim as well as the tyre so something has punched through both. As all shops were shut by the time this incident happened we could have been stranded overnight had the tyre company representative not been helpful and source us a new rim from Facebook Marketplace and collected and delivered it for us.
