No sound barrier excessive daiky road noise

Reported via mobile in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category anonymously at 10:27, Sat 18 March 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4327675.

Hi I live on the new estate in emsworth Saxon corner blandings way. Right next to the motorway I have been here a year now in an affordable rent property, the excessive noise shaking and vibrations of my house everyday Is having a detrimental affect on my mental health/wellbeing. my young daughter age 5 is also unable to sleep though this noise it wakes her up constantly then she’s having to go to school exhausted. we have been unable to open windows since being here or use the front bedroom for sleeping at all. This is really affecting me now. I notice that other new build Estates close to the Motorway have a soundproof fence we only have a wooden garden fence im right next to it. Is there anything you can do to help me and others on this estate a soundproof fence is definitely needed possibly speed cameras It’s more at night that is a problem as it’s just impossible to sleep though with all the speeding cars and motorcycles this goes on all night and shakes the house. we are having to leave tvs fans running to try and drown it out it’s just not an acceptable level of noise. I have reported to barrats and my housing association nothing is being done many thanks Taylor smith.
