Poor road surface

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4325580.

Many potholes in both carriageways as road surface has broken up between Newent Lane B4216 and A4136. Lorries can be heard clearly through the village as they hit the holes. Previous repairs are degrading as well.

    We carry out frequent safety patrols to monitor the condition of the road. Any potholes or defects we find are recorded. Repairs are then prioritised based on the severity of the defect. We know that a damaged road surface can, on occasion, be potentially dangerous and we’ve processes in place to ensure any hazardous defects are repaired quickly.
