  • Temporary traffic measures causing absolute chaos at all times of day. At peak times adding an hour on to an 18 mile journey from Cleveleys to Preston. Needs an urgent rethink

  • The new light system at the River Wyre roundabout caused about caused absolute mayhem on my journey home form Preston last night around 4:30pm. It tool me around 1.5 ours to get home on what is usually a 50 minute journey. This cannot continue with the holiday season upon us. It has made me consider giving up my job in Preston if I find out this is to continue throughout the summer. It will be even worse on the way to Lancaster as there is no alternative route

  • The temporary traffic lights at the River Wyre junction are causing chaos. It’s making it extremely difficult to go anywhere and very dangerous. Traffic still v.busy in the dark. Everything flowed better before the roundabout was removed. I thought this road was supposed to improve the congestion, not make it worse. It is the only route in and out for residents. Even if I considered going through Blackpool that is a nightmare because of roadworks on Crossleys Bridge. Trying to get into the River Wyre pub at nighttime was difficult.

  • Total gridlock in poulton due to new lights. Emergency services will struggle to get through.

  • These unnecessary road works are ruining peoples lives. The road simply needed widening at the fuel station. I understand that this new layout 'might' save time in the long run, but it won't give me the time back that I have lost queuing in traffic. An hour for a one mile journey on Saturday for example. Businesses are being affected as people are choosing to work from home to avoid the chaos. Could they work a bit faster? There are 2 videos on YouTube (Japan giant sink hole fix, and tunnel inserted under Dutch highway) which put your workforce to shame. Embarrassing.
