Large Pothole in Lane 1 (left lane) between the underpass for A1025 Exit southbound towards Harlow/London

Reported via desktop in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 11:42, Wed 15 March 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4315891.

On Tuesday 14 March at 00:48 am, while driving southbound on the M11 at Junction 7A, my vehicle hit a large and deep pothole located in lane 1 (left lane), where the usual wheel tracks go. As a result, the left rim of my alloy wheel was damaged and my tyre bulged, making it unsafe to drive.

The pothole poses a significant and serious danger to road users. It was not clearly visible at night, and I was unable to avoid it. I also noticed another vehicle that had broken down nearby at the same time, likely due to the same pothole.

The pothole seems to have been there a while following a review of other similar reports dating back to last quarter of 2022.
